The American Bankers Association nominating committee — chaired by Dorothy Savarese, chairman, president and CEO of Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Orleans, Mass., — has selected a slate of candidates for association officer positions. The election will be held during the ABA Annual Convention, Oct. 21-23 in New York. Nominees are:
- Chairman: Jeffrey M. Szyperski, chairman, president and CEO, Chesapeake Bank, Kilmarnock, Va.
- Chairman-Elect: Laura Lee (Laurie) Stewart, president and CEO, Sound Community Bank, Seattle
- Vice Chairman: James J. Edwards, Jr., CEO, United Bank, Griffin, Ga.
- Treasurer: Luther Deaton, Jr., chairman, president and CEO, Central Bank and Trust Co., Lexington, Ky.
