Consumer Prices Accelerated in September

The Consumer Price Index grew 0.5% in September on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This followed a 0.4% August increase. CFPB Announces 2018 Reg Z Dollar Thresholds

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau today announced 2018 changes in dollar thresholds for several Regulation Z provisions governed by the CARD Act, the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act and the Dodd-Frank Act. The thresholds are based on changes in the Consumer Price Index.

CPI Increases Despite Lower Energy Prices

The Consumer Price Index increased 0.1 percent in April on a seasonally adjusted basis, as further declines in energy was offset by an increase in all items less food and energy, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. Over the last 12 months, the CPI declined 0.1 percent SAAR -- the third year-over-year decline in 2015.
