Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.) today announced that he will retire from Congress at the end of 2024. Luetkemeyer currently is chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance and International Financial Institutions. He has served in Congress since 2009 and previously spent 30 years in the financial services industry working as a state banking examiner and community banker.
Mortgage rates fall
The rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.94% this week, down from last week when it averaged 7.02%.
