The American Bankers Association today named Karin Petersen Flynn as the association’s next chief financial officer. Petersen Flynn will oversee ABA’s financial, information technology and operations functions when she joins the association on Nov. 11.
Petersen Flynn comes to ABA after serving as a consultant in recent years. Prior to that, she was CFO and vice president of administration for the National Presbyterian School in Washington, D.C. Petersen Flynn has also served as principal at consulting firm EY-Parthenon in San Francisco and as deputy manager for the Computer Science Laboratory at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center in Palo Alto, Calif.
“Karin’s background as a multi-talented business executive with experience in both financial management and technology roles makes her ideally suited for this critically important position,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “Her creativity and focus on solutions will be an asset to ABA, and we look forward to welcoming her on board.”
