Senate Confirms Brian Montgomery as Head of FHA

The Senate today voted to confirm Brian Montgomery as head of the Federal Housing Administration. Montgomery is currently the vice chairman of the Collingwood Group, a financial services consulting firm, and previously served as Federal Housing Commissioner during the George W. Bush administration.

ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols welcomed Montgomery’s confirmation. “FHA is an important partner to the nation’s banks in ensuring Americans have access to homeownership,” Nichols said. “We look forward to working with Commissioner Montgomery on a range of housing policy issues going forward.”
