Winners in the ABA Bank Marketing Video Awards

Thank you to the hundreds of banks that submitted videos, tens of thousands of viewers and banker judges involved in this year’s Awards.

The 2019 Winners, Best in Show and Marketers’ Choice winners were announced at the ABA Bank Marketing Conference in Austin and appear below.  Congratulations to all.

Best in Asset Category

Winners of this prize were determined by the scoring of 74 banker judges in the areas of Creativity, Production value and the Message.

Under $500 Million
Winner: ““My Bank – Business”
Stackpole for
Cape Ann Savings Bank
Gloucester, Mass.

Several small business owners trust the local knowledge and quick decision making exhibited by their bank.

$500 Million – $1 Billion
Winner: “Journey Well”
Financial Marketing Solutions for
Newburyport Bank
Newburyport, Mass.

Comparing money to the sea, this video emphasizes common challenges and makes the case for why the bank offers a “smart experienced crew to help you navigate.”

$1 Billion – $5 Billion
Winner: “Pioneers”
Country Bank
Ware, Mass.

This video taps into the heritage of the surrounding Pioneer Valley by emphasizing its foundation of hard work and notes “even hard work needs a partner.”

Over $5 Billion
Winner: “Icons”
WSFS Bank
Wilmington, Del.

The prominent use of map icon images demonstrate the bank’s reach by pinpointing how and where its customers are accessing their accounts.

Marketers’ Choice

The four highest-rated videos in each asset category advanced to a public vote.  Two videos finished with virtually identical vote counts and were recognized as the Marketers’ Choice winners.

Dewitt, NY

A testimonial highlights how an expert at the bank addressed the concerns of a couple buying a house for the first time.

Winner: “Pay Your Friends Back, Before They Pay You Back”
FirstBank
Lakewood, Colo.

Humor is used to promote the Zelle payment feature on the bank’s mobile app.

Best in Show

This was the single video that received the highest score by the banker judges across banks of all asset sizes.

Winner: “Icons”
WSFS Bank
Wilmington, Del.

This video was also the top scorer in its asset category.
