The American Bankers Association and the Nevada Bankers Association released a new ad today thanking Rep. Steven Horsford (D-Nev.) for opposing a sweeping regulatory change that would raise the cost of credit and encouraging him to keep fighting on behalf of families and small businesses across Nevada.
“We appreciate Rep. Horsford’s opposition to the proposal from regulators to increase capital standards, which would have devastating consequences in communities across the country,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “His important efforts are helping to strengthen the U.S. economy and preserve opportunities for families, homeowners and small businesses in Nevada at a critical moment.
“Rep. Horsford has stood up to defend Nevada’s economy against regulatory proposals that would stifle growth and make homeownership even less affordable,” said NBA President and CEO Phyllis Gurgevich. “Thanks to his leadership, many small businesses and families across the state can continue to access the credit they need, and we ask him to keep fighting to stop misguided policies that would limit credit availability.”
