The international trade deficit was $96.8 billion in June, down $2.5 billion from $99.4 billion in May, the Commerce Department announced today. Exports of goods for June were $172.3 billion, or $4.3 billion more than May exports. Imports of goods were $269.2 billion, or $1.7 billion more than May imports.
Banking agencies seek public comment on strategies to combat payments fraud
The FDIC, Federal Reserve and OCC issued a request for comment on potential actions to help consumers, businesses and financial institutions mitigate risks related to payments fraud, particularly check fraud.
