BAFT, the American Bankers Association’s global transaction banking subsidiary, announced today that Diane Reyes has been appointed the new chairman of its Transaction Banking Global Leaders group. Reyes is currently group general manager and global head of global liquidity and cash management at HSBC and will replace outgoing Chairman Naveed Sultan of Citi. In her role, Reyes will lead a cohort of the industry’s largest transaction banks as they discuss solutions to address issues affecting the industry, including regulatory compliance, financial crime mitigation, cybersecurity, emerging technology and increasing the profile of the transaction banking industry.
“The TBGL has been an important leadership body for the industry, providing guidance and expertise on the most important common priorities of the transaction banking industry,” said BAFT President and CEO Tod Burwell. “This upcoming year represents the 10th year of the TBGL meeting under BAFT, and we look forward to the future under Diane’s leadership.”
