In accordance with ABA’s Bylaws, a Nominating Committee has been appointed by ABA Chairman Dorothy Savarese to recommend a slate of candidates for the 2017-2018 association year for each of ABA’s elective offices and for members to serve on the Board of Directors. Savarese is also chairman, president and CEO of Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank in Orleans, Mass. R. Daniel Blanton, ABA’s immediate past chairman, chairs the Nominating Committee.
Nominations for ABA Officers and the Board of Directors will be accepted June 1-30. Any eligible banker interested in being considered as a candidate for an ABA office or to serve on the Board may request to be considered or may have his or her name submitted by a third party.
Written notices should be sent to R. Daniel Blanton, Chairman of the ABA Nominating Committee, American Bankers Association, 1120 Connecticut Ave, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036. The notice should include a biographical sketch and a summary of background experience and qualifications. The Nominating Committee will announce and publish its slate of nominees, to be formally presented at the ABA Annual Convention in Chicago in October.
