New orders for manufactured goods decreased 0.6 percent to $499.2 billion in November, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The decrease followed a 2.1 percent decrease in October.
New orders for manufactured durable goods increased 0.7 percent to $250.8 billion in November. Transportation equipment drove the increase, up 3.0 percent to $87.0 billion.
Shipments of manufactured durable goods increased 0.7 percent to $256.7 billion.
Inventories of manufactured durable goods increased 0.4 percent to $413.7 billion.
