Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker today named Kiersten Todt as executive director of the Obama administration’s new cybersecurity commission, which is chaired by former National Security Adviser Tom Donilon. The Commerce Department plays a steering role in U.S. cybersecurity efforts through the National Institute of Standards and Technology, a Commerce bureau that has issued a framework that public and private entities can use to manage their cyber defenses. Todt is a cybersecurity and risk management consultant who previously served on Capitol Hill.
