Registration is now open for bankers wishing to participate in the ABA Foundation’s Lights, Camera, Save! video contest, through which teens use videos to illustrate creatively the importance of saving.
Participating banks promote the contest in their local communities, welcoming 90-second videos from young people aged 13-18. Each participating bank will send one winning video on to the national competition. The ABA Foundation will select the winners; the grand prize winner will receive $5,000 toward his or her savings goal.
This year, Lights, Camera, Save! Is sponsored by Discover Debit, the ABA-endorsed signature debit program. “Video production is a great way for banks to get students interested in saving,” said Discover VP Steve Sievert. “From writing the script, to developing a set and filming the lesson, these students will have a lifelong appreciation for the importance of sound money management.”
