Registration is now open for Get Smart About Credit, the ABA Foundation’s national campaign to help young Americans understand the future implications of their financial decisions today, from saving for college to finding a job and buying a house. Through Get Smart About Credit — observed throughout the fall but spotlighted on Oct. 15 — bankers will visit classrooms to educate teens and young adults about the importance of using credit.
Get Smart About Credit offers four classroom presentation modules covering paying for college, knowing your credit score, protecting your financial identity and — new this year — managing your money. Registered banks will receive access to the full curriculum, as well as free marketing and planning tools to help make the most of Get Smart About Credit.
ABA will also host a free webinar on Aug. 13 to help bankers maximize their participation in ABA’s fall financial education programs. For more information, contact ABA’s Jeni Pastier.
