Starting tonight, the policymakers, regulatory officials and congressional staffers who attend Washington Nationals home games this summer will see more than a ballgame. They’ll also view messages at Nationals Park that reinforce the importance of the banking industry to America’s communities. The messages, which will appear on the ballpark’s main scoreboard, explain how banks employ 2 million Americans; lend $8 trillion to support jobs and growth; and offer mobile banking, remote deposit and fraud alerts to meet customers’ needs and keep their accounts safe.
ABA urges OCC not to rescind national bank preemption regulations
The OCC should reject a recent request to rescind certain regulations that articulate core national bank preemption standards, which would undermine the strength of the nation’s dual banking system, ABA said in a letter to the agency.
