ABA announced today that prominent consumer behavior expert Jonah Berger will deliver a keynote address during the 2019 ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, which will take place June 6-13 at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in Philadelphia. A Wharton professor and the author of the bestselling books “Contagious” and “Invisible Influence,” Berger will discuss how to understand and harness the power of influence, and why people change their minds and behaviors.
Additional featured sessions at Stonier this year include programs on enterprise risk management, taught by SimErgy Consulting president and founder Sim Segal; negotiations, taught by Emory University associate professor Michael Sacks; and achieving superior competitive advantage, taught by University of San Francisco professor Rex Bennett. Stonier attendees may also choose from a catalogue of 40 elective courses covering a wide range of topics.
Applications are currently being accepted for this year’s Stonier session and are due by May 1. Space is limited, and bankers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
