The American Bankers Association and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Online today announced a new series of three ABA-Wharton Emerging Leaders Certificates that provide in-depth training in strategy, employee motivation and advanced leadership skills for rising bank leaders. The program builds on the long-standing ABA-Wharton partnership, which includes the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton and the ABA-Wharton CEO Leadership Lab.
“As banks develop their succession pipeline, it is imperative for rising stars to develop and sharpen a broad set of skills grounded in strategy and vision,” said Jim Edrington, ABA’s chief member engagement officer. “Budding leaders from banks of all sizes and business models have a unique opportunity to access the time-tested strategic wisdom of Wharton’s renowned faculty and earn a tangible and industry-recognized credential in the process.”
