ABA, Wharton School Launch Leadership Lab for CEOs

December 7, 2016
Reading Time: 1 min read

The American Bankers Association today announced that it is partnering with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School to launch the ABA-Wharton CEO Leadership Lab, a new educational offering designed exclusively for bank CEOs and presidents.

Registration is now open for the new program, which takes place May 18-19, 2017, at Wharton’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education in Philadelphia. The program is designed to provide an immersive experience taught by top Wharton leadership faculty, including Mario Moussa, Sigal Barsade, Peter Cappelli, Kathy Pearson and Michael Useem. To facilitate an intimate learning environment in which participants explore real-world challenges and solutions, the lab is limited in size.

“Leadership is a journey, and that’s especially true in an industry as dynamic as banking where leaders are continually tested by a rapidly changing operating environment and the risks and opportunities presented,” said ABA EVP Jim Edrington. “The Leadership Lab is a bona fide brain trust — a place where Ivy League thought leaders converge with elite industry execs on how to navigate changing regulations, disruptive innovation, shifting demographics, customer engagement and other emerging issues.”

Participants who complete the program will earn an ABA-Wharton CEO Executive Leadership Certificate. The registration deadline is April 21.
