American Bankers Association President and CEO Rob Nichols will welcome more than 1,300 attendees to ABA’s Annual Convention in Seattle and provide an industry update in his opening remarks this morning. Nichols will then be joined by Jill Ellis, former head coach for the U.S. women’s national soccer team and two-time consecutive world cup champion for a conversation about building successful teams.
This morning’s program will also include an update from ABA’s Core Platforms Committee. Nichols will join committee Chair Julieann Thurlow, president and CEO of Reading Cooperative Bank in Reading, Mass., to discuss the effort.
Later today and tomorrow, bankers will hear from Pulitzer Prize winner and presidential historian Jon Meacham and former House Speaker Paul Ryan. Other sessions will cover talent management, hiring veterans, industry perspectives from bank CEOs, the evolution of Community Reinvestment Act rules and more.
ABA encourages bankers to follow the ABA Annual Convention on Twitter via @ABABankers. Convention attendees who plan to tweet should include the official hashtag #ABAAnnual in their messages.
