ABA Supports Legislation to Ease Health Care Costs for Seniors

The American Bankers Association’s Health Savings Account Council today applauded the introduction of H.R. 3796, the Health Savings for Seniors Act, a bipartisan bill that would help ease the burden of rising out-of-pocket expenses for seniors on Medicare.

“We are particularly pleased that lawmakers worked together to draft sensible legislation that will lead to quality, affordable health care for seniors while also keeping the decision-making power in the hands of doctors and patients,” said HSA Council Executive Director Kevin McKechnie. “We especially want to thank Reps. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) and Jason Smith (R-Mich.) for recognizing that health care is the top issue for voters in America. This bipartisan legislation provides and important and meaningful solution for Americans across the country.”
