Fed Repeals Reg C, Proposes Reg M Changes

The Federal Reserve today issued a final rule repealing its Regulation C (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act), which has been superseded by final rules issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The Fed also proposed changes to Regulation M — which governs consumer leasing — to clarify the scope of the board’s supervisory authority following changes under the Dodd-Frank Act and Consumer Protection Act.  Comments on the proposal will be due 60 days after publication in the Federal Register.
