President Obama yesterday said he would nominate Kathryn Dominguez to fill a vacant seat on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Dominguez is an economics professor at the University of Michigan with a research focus on international financial markets and macroeconomics.
Also awaiting confirmation to the Fed board is former Bank of Hawaii CEO Allan Landon, who was nominated earlier this year. Should Landon and Dominguez be confirmed, the board will have a full complement of seven governors for the first time since August 2013.
