ABA President and CEO Frank Keating took part yesterday in ceremonies in Oklahoma City to observe the 20th anniversary of the terrorist bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The attack, which claimed 168 lives, occurred a few months into Keating’s first term as Oklahoma governor.
“This was a place of unspeakable horror and tragedy,” Keating said at the memorial ceremony. “The agony was consistent. The agony appeared never to end.”
On Saturday, Keating and his wife, Cathy, participated in a reunion of first responders, rescue personnel, law enforcement, survivors of the attack and family members of those killed.
