One in three Americans say they have used mobile deposit to deposit a check within the last year, according to results from a recent ABA /Ipsos survey. Of those, nearly two-thirds — 62 percent — say they use the feature at least once a month.
“Consumers value convenience and banks have responded with digital financial management tools like mobile deposit that make banking quick, easy and secure,” said ABA SVP Nessa Feddis, noting that innovations like mobile banking and remote deposit are driven by consumer preferences. “Banks will continue accommodating diverse customer needs and references through multiple convenient channels, with a special emphasis on expanding and enhancing their digital services.”
