ABA Kicks off Annual Convention in NYC, Selected Sessions to be Livestreamed

Today in New York City, ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols will welcome nearly 1,400 attendees to ABA’s Annual Convention and provide an industry update in his opening remarks this morning. Nichols will then be joined by Mike Allen, co-founder and executive editor of Axios and one of Washington’s most influential journalists, for a discussion about the political landscape and upcoming mid-term elections.

These sessions will be available via a livestream beginning at 8 a.m. EDT this morning. Tomorrow will also include a livestreamed session beginning at 2 p.m. EDT, featuring a discussion between Nichols and FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams.

Later today and tomorrow, bankers will hear about the responsible use of artificial intelligence from Cathy Bessant, chief operations and technology officer at Bank of America; learn how banks can thrive in a sharing economy from Robin Chase, founder and former CEO of Zipcar; gain insights on humanity and leadership from New York portrait photographer Platon; and learn about the importance of inclusive leadership from Carla Harris, vice chairman, managing director and senior client adviser at Morgan Stanley.
