The ISM Non-Manufacturing Index registered 59.1 points in June, 0.5 percentage point above May’s figure. This was the 101st consecutive month of expansion as a reading above 50 indicates growth. Seventeen non-manufacturing industries reported growth, while one reported a decrease.
Growth in the Business Activity Index increased 2.6 points to 63.9, the 107th consecutive month of growth. Sixteen industries reported increased business activity, and one reported decreased activity.
Non-manufacturing employment grew for the 52nd consecutive month. The index decreased 0.5 point to 53.6. Twelve industries reported increased employment, while three reported decreased employment.
The New Orders Index increased 2.7 points to 63.2. Seventeen industries reported increased business activity, while none reported decreased activity.
Supplier deliveries slowed for the 30th consecutive month, as the index registered 55.5 points (readings above 50 for this index indicate slower deliveries). Ten industries reported slower deliveries, while four industries reported faster deliveries.
