The OCC today named six bank CEOs to its Mutual Savings Association Advisory Committee, which advises the OCC about mutual banks, assesses their current condition, and offers feedback on regulatory changes affecting mutuals’ health and viability. The committee is scheduled to meet next week.
With the addition of the new CEOs, all nine members of the committee represent ABA member banks. The new members are: J. R. Buckner, First Federal Bank of Kansas City, Kansas City, Mo.; Thomas Fraser, First Federal Lakewood, Lakewood, Ohio; Shirley Hughes, Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank, Elizabethton, Tenn.; James McQuade, Dollar Bank, Pittsburgh; James Wainwright, Freehold Savings Bank, Freehold, N.J.; and William White, Dearborn Federal Savings Bank, Dearborn, Mich.
They join currently serving members Jeffrey Hyde, Evergreen Federal Savings and Loan Association, Grants Pass, Ore.; Dan Moore, Home Bank, Martinsville, Ind.; and Charles Timpa, First Federal Bank of Louisiana, Lake Charles, La.
