The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network today announced that Jennifer Shasky Calvery will step down as director at the end of May. Shasky Calvery has served as director since September 2012.
“During her time at FinCEN, Jennifer Shasky Calvery has effectively emphasized the need for a careful balance between regulatory mandates and law enforcement needs. Her goal — which ABA has long shared — is a results-oriented focus that supports law enforcement in their efforts against financial crime and terrorist financing,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “We wish Director Shasky Calvery the best as she begins the next chapter of her career and look forward to working with her successor on our shared priorities of thwarting criminals and protecting the financial system.”
