BAFT, ABA’s international finance subsidiary, announced today that Warren Steinmueller has been appointed the new chair of its Transaction Banking Global Leaders group. Steinmueller is currently head of global transaction banking at Deutsche Bank and will replace outgoing chair Jeremy Wilson of Barclays. In his role, Steinmueller will lead a cohort of the industry’s largest transaction banks as they work collaboratively to address issues affecting the industry, such as regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
“TBGL has played an important role in identifying common priorities for the industry, enabling BAFT and other organizations to focus on the most impactful topics,” said Tod Burwell, BAFT’s president and CEO. “We are grateful for the leadership Jeremy provided over the past several years and look forward to continued growth under Werner’s guidance.”
