The federal banking agencies today released their fourth request for comments under the decennial Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act review, making it the final opportunity for bankers to share specifics on unnecessarily burdensome regulations that should be changed via the EGRPRA process. ABA will comment on this request and seeks banker input on the categories currently under review: rules of procedure; safety and soundness; and securities.
However, ABA’s comment letter will go beyond those categories and as a result ABA is also seeking banker input on any specific regulation of the FDIC, OCC, or Federal Reserve that is unnecessarily burdensome. For more information, or to participate in ABA’s final comment letter on all regulations under EGRPRA, contact ABA’s Shaun Kern.
