ABA today announced that John Kinsella has been named its new VP for tax policy. Kinsella joined ABA from U.S. Bancorp, where he was SVP and director of taxation. He has more than three decades of experience in financial institution tax issues and previously served as chairman of ABA’s Tax Administrative Committee.
In his new ABA role, Kinsella will provide technical expertise on tax legislation and advocate for member banks in the areas of federal and state corporate taxation, international bank taxation, tax procedure, compliance, financial products and services.
“John’s background and knowledge will be an incredible asset for ABA,” said ABA SVP Donna Fisher. “During his leadership with ABA, John has been an impressive advocate for both large and community banks, and that experience will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for our broad range of members.”
