Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds announced today that former American Bankers Association Chairman Jeff Plagge, president and CEO of Northwest Financial Corporation in Arnolds Park, has been appointed superintendent of the Iowa Division of Banking. Once confirmed by the Iowa Senate, Plagge will succeed current superintendent Ron Hansen on Sept. 16.
ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols congratulated Plagge, noting that he “has a sophisticated understanding of the regulatory landscape as it pertains to safety, soundness, consumer protection and everything in between . . . He is a fantastic leader with deep insights into how the banking sector will help the Iowa economy grow and prosper.”
