New orders for manufactured goods grew 1.3% to $488.1 billion in November, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The increase followed a 0.4% rise in October.
New orders for manufactured durable goods grew 1.3% to $241.4 billion in November. Transportation equipment led the increase, rising 4.1% to $80.8 billion.
Shipments of manufactured durable goods increased 0.9% to $244.4 billion.
Inventories of manufactured durable goods, up sixteen of the last seventeen months, increased 0.2% to $405.3 billion.
