American Bankers Association President and CEO Rob Nichols was today named to a list of top association lobbyists by The Hill newspaper, a widely read publication among policymakers on Capitol Hill.
“A former Treasury official under President George W. Bush, Nichols took the reins at the ABA in 2015,” the newspaper noted. “Since then, he has guaranteed the banking industry’s seat at the policymaking table.” Nichols has also been described as one of a “new generation of trade group CEOs” by the Washington Post.
