Fifty-eight percent of U.S. adults use a mobile device at least once a month to manage their bank account, according to results released today from a survey conducted by Ipsos for the American Bankers Association. Thirty-seven percent use mobile banking at least three times per month. The vast majority of mobile banking users are satisfied with their banks’ apps, with 69 percent rating their digital experience as “excellent” or “very good.”
“Consumers are increasingly turning to their smartphones and tablets to manage their everyday finances, and banks have responded by expanding their mobile capabilities,” said ABA SVP Nessa Feddis. “Bank innovation has made it more convenient and safer than ever to do things like check your balance, deposit a check or make payments.”
